4th of July Parade

Angie and I were worried about the weather for the parade but the rain held out and the crowds were thick. The folks in Centerville takes this parade very seriously, two days before the actual parade folks were "reserving" spaces along the route with lawn chairs. We had good turn out from Team Dayton this year.

Everyone was having fun although we spent more time walking instead of riding. This was early in the parade, the crowd got bigger later.

We even had a fly-over by the Wright Flyer and a couple of F-16's.

They're all smiles right now but pin a number on and they can hurt you.

Rode to Heaven

Here's another "catch up" post. We were out for an easy recovery day last month and decided to tack on a few more miles to get a nice even 50. Just outside of Corwin is a nice little climb and at the top are the gates to Heaven.

Since they wouldn't open the gates for Angie, we decided to take pictures of Angels instead.

Another Playlist Favorite

Even since I got my iPod, I've made it a point to add new music to my workout play lists rather than continue to listen to the same old "classic" rock. I've got my share of oldies but I thought I'd share some new stuff that I've found. I'll try to add one every week or so, if you've heard of them - great; if not maybe you'll like them too. if nothing else I figured that this makes easy blog fodder.

I found this one on Amazon.com's MP3 download section. They have a different album discounted every day, and they'll run a few songs for free every now and then. This was one of those free "sampler CD's".
